Brenda & Henry Friesen

Position: Owners/General Manager
Bio: 
Henry and Brenda have owned and operated Canadian Lumber since 1987.  They live in Winkler and have two sons, Ryan and Garrett.
Henry remains very involved in day to day operations of his three lumber stores and enjoys working with his many various customers.  Brenda is also involved in the business managing their payroll department.
Henry and Brenda both enjoy fishing, golfing and love to entertain staff, business associates and friends.

 

Ronn Hiebert


Position: Project Sales – Winkler
Bio:
Ronn Hiebert started with us in 1993. As a journeyman carpenter since 1979, Ronn is able to accurately estimate the materials required for any job. Ronn is up to date with local building codes and specializes in new housing, additions/rennovations, workshops and commercial buildings projects. Ronn offers his expertise to our clients by adapting plans to their special likes and needs, as well as, offers suggestions to improve the design and functionality. Ronn lives in Altona with his wife Irene and enjoys volunteering his time as the Altona EMM Church sound technician. You’ll find Ronn in our Winkler office.

 

Rob Martens


Position: Project Sales – Winkler
Bio:
Rob Martens joined our Canadian Lumber team in 2006, bringing with him years of experience in manufacturing.  At  our Customer Service/Sales Desk, Rob increased his knowledge and experience in quality building products and projects.  Rob has been promoted to Project Sales and is excited to assist our customers with their building decisions and processes. Rob lives in Winkler with his wife, Kristina and two young children.  He loves spending time with his family and enjoys the outdoors and sports, especially golfing.

 

 

Russ Wolfe

Position: Drafting and Design – Winkler
Bio:
Russ has been with Canadian Lumber since the fall of 2004. As a graduate of GVC ‘s drafting & design course, Russ is an integral part of our team. Working with some of the latest technology available, Russ is able to create a complete set of blueprints from foundation and up for new housing, additions, garages, shops, etc. With his many years of experience working with contractors and home owners, Russ is able to listen to your dreams and create a space that fits the dream. Russ and his wife Shawna with their 2 daughters, enjoy living in the country in their new home. Russ loves meeting the demands that a new family, home and country living bring.

 

Dan J. Peters

Position: Home Design Consultant – Winkler
Bio:
Dan has been with us since 2008, but he has over 30 years of experience in the construction, renovation and supply industry. Dan’s knowledge and experience is of great benefit when he helps you make your selection of material for your new home or renovation project.
Passionate about details and helping you to achieve the exact look and functionality within your budget for that special project, is what you can expect from Dan.
Our “Bath Gallery” is one of Dan’s areas of expertise. From helping the do-it-yourselfers to supplying the professional installers; Dan can make your new bathroom or bathroom makeover a dream come true.

 

Irv Giesbrecht

Bio:
Irv Giesbrecht has been with Canadian Lumber since 2007. Irv is up to date with local building codes and specializes in accurately estimating new housing, additions, workshops, commercial and agricultural buildings projects. Irv lives in Altona with his wife, Cheryll and has three children. Irv enjoys spending his free time with his two grandchildren. Come in and see Irv for all your building project needs.

 

John Funk

Position: Inventory Control Manager
Bio:
John Funk is responsible for most purchasing and logistical decisions and has managed our inventory for all three locations since 2008. John has worked with us for 15 years. Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his family and supports his community through involvement in the Gretna Co-operative Athletic Association board and the Gretna Community Arena Operating Committee.
